Traditional acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine dating back more than two thousand years.
Fine, sterile and disposable needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body,
which are located on lines called meridians or channels.
The meridians are all connected and carry the body's energy known as Qi (pronounced 'chee')
Inserting acupuncture needles into the points redirects the Qi and channels it into the areas of need, in order to rebalance, harmonise and help the body reach optimal health.
This principle of traditional acupuncture focuses on discovering the root cause of disease and the underlying source of any symptoms.

The ancient Chinese medicine system understands that the mind, body and spirit are entirely connected and each as important as the other. The five elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water & Wood) are all within us and are associated closely with the mind and spirit aspect of our health.
Any of the elements can become unbalanced throughout our eventful lives. Five element acupuncture aims to rebalance the elements within us.
The integrated approach of using both traditional and five element acupuncture, enables the mind, body and spirit to be easily treated with equal importance. This ensures a truly holistic acupuncture treatment.
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
